Kudos!!!! absolutely a wonderful event – you are blessed and blessed so many!

Dear Stephanie Nielson and family, I hope you are all doing well. Your story which caught the attention of the new caught my attention. I had tried to contact you before but was unable to do so. I’m sure your accident has been a huge trial to you with the pain and so forth. I’m sure it has been a growing experience for all of you and bonded you closer as a family under the care of a loving father in heaven. I felt impressed to share with you my personal experience with a third degree burn I acquired on my leg, do to grouse negligence on my part. I was a junior in high school. Some friends of mine and I had decided to venture to a place called the bottomless pit one boring afternoon. There we came across several fellow students of our local Payson high school. The custom of the place (the bottomless pit, a large mining cavern which descends seemingly endlessly strait down, with a metal grate on top, convenient to stand on and observe.) is to through down into the pit Molotov cocktails, as well as other arsenals. On this day someone in the group who we were not with on arrival was playing with a gas can and while trailing ignited gas, the gas had made its way the spout of the plastic container. This frightened the fellow student of ours. To make the story shorter I kicked an ignited can of gasoline out from under a car, setting my leg on fire. After getting the fire out by pulling my pants down over it, smothering it, my friends rushed me to the hospital. My burns healed rather miraculously with the aid of prescribed Silvadin, (a topical medicine containing silver) but perhaps to my neglect of not putting Neosporin continually over the spot that had yet to fully heal, (Specialists recommendation) I remained with two relatively small but painful third degree burn on my lower right leg. On an LDS mission it was hard for me to walk and talk as is needed in such a situation. Out of general ingenuity and more than likely inspiration, I decided to start putting leaves from a tree that grew outside our apartment on my leg everyday. Miraculously the pain diminished as skin began to grow over the area that I thought would never heal (approximately four years after the burn incident). The scar tissue from the lower part of my leg which had been the greatest bane for walking and standing began to fad away as natural tissue replaced it. To this day, you can still see small remnants of the burn. (Though im sure if I kept putting leaves on it regularly it would disappear completely). Using this technique I have also gotten rid of scars on different parts of the body which had been there for years and years. I believe it is the natural conversion of carbon dioxide to oxygen as well as other natural process which plants go through which are symbiotic with animal tissues that result in this miraculous healing process. I was able to hold the leaves of most any tree next to my wounds with my sock which happened to be right over my burn. Nylon leggings could be used over the head to hold leaves against the face. Nylon could be used on almost any part of the body. I have also used surgical tape to hold leaves in place. An acquaintance of one of my sisters came in contact with me many years ago, at the time I was on my big leaf healing kick. He had two large abrasions on both of the palms of his hands do to a skate boarding accident. I challenged him to put some moss on one palm every day, covered with a peace of plastic and tape, to see if there was a difference in the healing results of both hands. About two weeks later to my surprise my sister had let me know that the difference in the rate of healing between the two abrasions was remarkable if not astonishing. I hope you can give the healing power of leaves and/or other greenery a chance in healing your burns as well as alleviating the pain associated with them. My prayer is that this may heal your wounds.
