Hi there! We are MTPPA (Michigan Triangle Professional Photographers Association) “Oh great” your thinking, “Another association!” Well we like to think that we are different. We are a group of professional photographers that meet once a month for education, fellowship and support. We bring in speakers from all over the U.S. to help us improve our businesses. We believe in sharing our knowledge with the group and helping one another. I hear stories all the time of people from this group working with one another to help in each others success.

How much is membership? We renew membership every September and it’s $150. It’s a small price to pay for 10 programs, a print competition to prepare you for PPA and some wonderful social gatherings.
Can anyone be a member? All that we require is that you are a professional photographer and have a Tax ID #. On the application we will ask for your website, business card and any marketing pieces that you may have.
When and where do you meet? Usually we meet the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Although some months, we have to work around other events, so always check the schedule. We meet at Perspective 2 (P2) in Old Town Lansing. 319 East Grand River Avenue Lansing, MI 48906-4416
If I am not a member can I still come to a meeting? Yes, of course! If you are not a member, programs are $49 a person.
What is SNAP? SNAP stands for Shoot.Network.Apply.Profit. SNAP was created to give your more opportunity for education but in a hands-on format. Each SNAP is a full day centered around a speaker or certain subject. We have had background painting classes, engagement shoots, off-camera flash demonstrations, children’s photography and many more. We feel you shouldn’t have to pay thousands of dollars for great education. Members only pay $50 and non-members $150. If you decide to become a member after attending a SNAP (within that year) we will put $100 towards your membership! These workshops are small in number so that you get the most out of it. It’s also a great way to work with other photographers and learn from each other.
Are only Lansing area photographers welcome at MTPPA? No! We have members from all over Michigan. Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Jackson, Ann Arbor just to name a few.
